Coronavirus Update
The health and well being of the young men we’ll be discipling this summer is our first priority. Like most Americans, we’ve been monitoring the impact of the novel coronavirus since before it was declared a pandemic, and have been regularly checking government, state, CDC and WHO websites for information.
While we prepare for the summer, we recognize that the situation is fluid and may demand a change to our plans. As of now, we expect to run all HigherTrek programs this summer. Our excitement is growing the more we prepare.
However, we will of course comply with any directives related to the virus given by the state of Missouri (where our programs will be this summer) and our national government. Fortunately, our summer programs are in a fairly remote location, and we can eliminate almost all interaction with anyone not directly involved with the program. We are also making plans on how to ensure good hygiene by participants during the program.
Any major decisions made between now and the end of summer will be posted here. In the meantime we continue to pray for the health of those affected, for the elimination of the virus, for the discovery of a successful vaccine, and for God to use this disaster as a way to turn the world to Him.
